Lines and Grids in OneNote

Ruled lines give notes the traditional notebook look and can be helpful when taking notes with a stylus on tablet devices like the Surface, iPad, or Android devices. Grid lines can be used to position items on pages. They can also be used in designs, drawings, and graphing math problems. Ruled lines might be the most effective when working on a tablet with a stylus. Using ruled lines on documents with text boxes does not align the text with the lines. The lines are just a background for the text.
